The Memphis Farmers Market is a not-for-profit outdoor market featuring local farmers and is located at Central Station in downtown Memphis at S Front St and GE Patterson. The market showcases locally grown produce and related food items from the Mid-South region and also serves to educate the community about food choices. The market is open every Saturday 7am-1pm mid-April through October. Free admission and parking. Pet sitting available.

Mississippi Natural Products Association is a rural farmers' cooperative that provides an alternative crop for farmers and adds value to that crop by marketing and selling it at the retail level. Farmers who are members of the Co-op grow their mushrooms on special substrate blocks composed of hardwood sawdust enriched with nutrients in environmentally controlled rooms, allowing them to grow year round and protecting them from pest and chemicals.

Today Peter and his partner Tim Smith keep plenty busy maintaining the arugula, baby spinach, baby romaine, and mesclin they sell by the generous bag, while also tending salad turnips, radishes, cherry tomatoes, lettuces, edamame, yellow & green beans, and okra.
